This song was made after my Habibi was killed at the corner store. It hit me pretty hard. He was so kind and always showed extra love to me and my kids. Alot of the time he'd give them free candy. He also let me shoot scenes for the Laced Weed video in his store. We actually shot those shots 1 week before he was killed in a robbery. RIP to the goat of Corner stores.
On another note this is another song that was written under the alias Jellyfish Jones. Making this beat I took the voice memo on my phone, hit the kitchen and recorded little samples of all types of things, spoons, graters, knives and forks scrapping pans and skillets etc. everything got recorded and chopped and sampled into the record. If you listen close you can hear it all. I've always loved the feel of this track
